The charity’s principal
sources of funds (including
any fundraising)
Para 1.47 GSA have been active in its efforts to secure
restricted and unrestricted funding and was
successful in securing a grant from the National
Lottery to enable our charity to employ a full-
time person in the role of Project Coordinator.
We also secured funding from the Manchester
Airport Community Fund towards the purchase
of an ecargo bike, which will help us to extend
the current service within the homeless
community.
We were also in discussions with supermarkets
about the possibility of in-store fundraising,
and early indications suggest that Morrisons
supermarket, Swinton, will allow us to raise
awareness of GSA and potentially collect
donations in July,2024.
Investment policy and
objectives including any
social investment policy
adopted
Para 1.46 We were successful in increasing the
volume of reserves during this financial
year. This are held in our bank account.
A description of the principal
risks facing the charity
Para 1.46 At the beginning of this period, the charity
began to recover financially, and with the
help of sizeable grants awarded to GSA in
May, June, July and September 2023, we
recovered sufficiently enough to build on
our efforts during the previous year. We
remain confident because of the service we
provide that we will secure further grants to
help expand our operations in 2024-2025.

Para 1.51 We worked in collaboration with
Manchester Homelessness Partnership
and the
Street support network link with various
partners such as"on the out, cornerstones,
network with which the
charity works
The amblehurst hotel and the statutory
services in the 10 borough's of greater
Manchester to allow our service users
access with these agencies to the help they
needed the most.
We hope to continue this positive trend
toward accessibility for all our service users
in the coming year
Other partners we worked along side
during this period were Emmaus, Asda and
Greggs at which time we were able to
receive notable donations of camping
equipment, fresh food and a successful
grant award.
GSA are planning to improve our service in
the areas of project management and
communications to supply better delivery of
current services with Ecargo Bike relief aid
and possible office space.
We believe if these aims are realised we
will see greater traffic on media platforms
and ultimately boost awareness of who we
are and what we do to the wider public.
Thankfully we are still seeing the same
consistency of funding coming but are still
aware that we need to be more creative for
finding new ideas to help improve our free
reserves to maintain and support our
current levels of running costs.
