Achievements and Performance
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identityir@ the difference the
charity's work has made to
the circumStan￿S of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as
whole.
The role of Sheringham Coaslwatch is to
ensure safe passage across the local sea
to a 1 &mile radius. This applies to all
users. from large container ships to people
swimming.
Periods where we have limited numbers of
alerting adivrties are seen as positive
outcomes as sea users and path walkers
will be safe. Generally, vthen alerts must be
raised, then our volunteers will be working
against to dock to gather search and
resciie organisational support to render
support to those in need.
As a rule, rf the problem area is from the
edge of cliff and out to sea, then His
Majesty's Coastguard is infomied. If the
problem is inland from the clrff edge, then
Fire, Police and Ambulance or notified as
appropriate, with Coastguard nottfjed post-
event.
