development and pwrgss made by the organkation.
In 2022 we reached a ¢rib¢al stago in our devdopment as our growth was restricied due to Ihfj limited facilthos.
We spent 2023 ￿anning a new community hLtb- a new building situated at the Marine Travel Arena - wbith would
amow u8 to attelerate our community engagement and roally drive fO￿ard our Impact l¢xaMy.
To fvnd the cg)mmunity hub, in 2024 wfj ¢arri8d OLrt many fundraising act￿ltIeS and received SUFPOrt from many

2. ICT Tralnlng
MITC continuos its ICT trainlng programme In partngrship with ￿Xth form Students from Mercharrt T¥ors' Boy5,
School. These one-onwone 8888ions ¥￿th senior atiz8ns were a great SUCLess, enabling parli¢ipants to use their
dgvicos confidanlty and connect friend$ and family. This intergenerational in4ts'ath"ve fostered mtrtual respect
and support, laying a solid foundation for future devebpment in digital literacy.
3. Walklng Football
Walking football thrived in 2024, with irKrea$lng numbern of paibcipants. Our women's team has beeome a wel
established weekty group. Gwen the mental heatth challenges of recent years this aCtI￿ty has proven vital,

soual interaction and exercise, especialty lor thoso btho felt isolated. The group is supported by dedicated
voluntser18aders and is alvrays finished off in a ffiendly café to enjoy a chat and discuss the walks and hislory

Our Girls, Football programme oJntinue5 working with lo¢al Se￿ndary schools, and our coaches delNered
sessions culminating in a football lestNal at Marine Travd Arona wlh over 130 participants. The piogramme

engagemgnt in sport.
6. Communlty Gardon
Our Well-8Stabli8l￿d community garden h38 cfjnttnued to thrive. supported by local re￿dents, school pupils, and
Safton Hsathay volunteers. The space promot88 environmental sustsinabilty. supports biodivorsty. and offers
Physi￿1, montal, arKI sooal benefits. The garden is lovingty maintained by volunteers and is a testamerrt lo
coltective etst.
7. Frno Coachlng In loul schools
Throughout thè pandemK, MITC provided crucial support to kxal ￿Mary and secondary 8th00ls by dfering free
coathing ses&ons. MITC continues to offer these same opportunities to promote thildren'$ heatth and well-being
for childron who may suffer from isolation and limited soaal intefaclion.
8. Softon Alzh•lm•r'¥ and D•mentla Socloty
We have established a monthty café and support hub In partnershlp wrth thè Sefton A￿heimer'S and Dementia
Soc4aty, serving local indiwduals and families. Wth 2N0 attendees each month, the initiatwe has been well
received and demand for fijrther s8SStons is increasing.
9. KItAld
One of our most 8UC£888ful collaborations ha6 been with and Marine FC. Club hIst$￿an Barry Lento
reached hls goal of collecting 20.000 items of kil by Docernbgf 2023. Barry also 8Uthored a comprehensive book
cglebrating Marine Fc's 12&year ttistory and communty engagement, culminating in the formation of MITC a¥ a
charitable incorporated organisatton.
10. Yoga
Yoga se$8ions have grown in populaiity, vAth 2MO weew att8nd8as b8n8fiting from improved mobi￿. wel
being, and Koal interaction. Sesslons are followed by tea and coffee. creating a warm and inclusive community
space.
11. Zumba Dan¢lng
Zumba has become one of our stsndoul aciivth'es In 2024, wlth 24-30 adults attending weekly. Thasg vibrant,
vfyhour sèssions promote h8aEth, swal ￿nneCtIOn, confidence, and joy, helping particspants lo fomi lastlng
friendship8.
12. CYlm•Stopwrs
MITC partnered vlth Crlmestoppèrs on the '4 Clubs, One Goal. initiattve wrth Liverpool FC. Everton FC. and
Tranmere Rovers. The proiect ta￿eS knife and gun ¢rimg across Merstyslde. A recent football festNal al Marine
FC involved 100 pupils and featured workshops, talk$ from Blood Doctors, and crime prevention sessions. This
impactful event Is the first of many In this v5tal partnership wth Merseyside Police and local school$ and
communi11os.

Our partnership with Lrfgracy Kicks brought sports joumalism to schools like Sl Luke's Halsall and Trinity St
Peler's. pu￿18 leamed to vffite match r8ports, blogs. and opinion pieces, gaining confidence and impioving
litoracy. The programme, led by national joumalist Gareth Walker fund8d by the Trident Community
Foundat6on, conduded with pupils 0ttondirKJ a Marine FC game to apply their skills as sports joumalsts.

18. Fm Lunch Dollv•rl
Wa continue lo ddiver free lunches during key times of the year such as Christmas and Easter. These are
targated at th¢)se who are isolated and unabl8 to18ave their homes. providing both nt)urishment and connèction.
19. Wlntsr Wami C•ntre & Warni Pack•
MITC 1$ a recognis8d Wlnter Warm Centre, in partnership Sefton CVS. We provide toa, coffee, and biscuits
W¢okty and distribute wam packs with essentials to help resldonls stay safe dullng the colder months.

We offer regular work experience opportunities for sgcondary students. sixth formers, anty undergraduates. Many
of these roles lead to Session￿ or pemlanent employment. This year, our apprentice Jo81 Slringar completed

appropllale to prepare the acwinls on a going cOr￿￿rn ba$1$ and, conw4uenUy. the account$ do not inctude
any adjustments that WOLdd be ne￿sary iflhese ￿U[ce$ of income should cease.
The trustees aim to establish and maintain free reserves in unrgslrictod fvnds at a ￿¥01 which equatas lo
approx¢matety three months of unrestricted charÈtable expendiiure. The trustees C(￿Sider that this level wll
provide 8uffident funds to respond to applications for grants and ensure that supwt and govemanc• costs are
covered.
