**regular series of events aimed at supporting the**
**community gain a greater understanding of**
**Buddhist teachings and develop their practice of**
**meditation.**
**The children’s Dhamma School programme**
**continued through the year, moving to a**
**schedule of online sessions every two weeks.**
**Carried out a special appeal to raise funds and**
**provide parcels of essential food to families**
**affected by COVID-19 in Sri Lanka. This was**
**organised in collaboration with the Letchworth**
**Dhamma Nikethanaya Buddhist Academy, and**
**members of the MK Vihara community donated a**
**total of £945:**

**During the year, the trustees approved a request**
**from Dr. Dinuka de Silva to change the source of**
**his donations from one account to another. As a**
**result, a single transfer of £800/- was made to Dr.**
**de Silva, and which was replaced by a**
**remittance of £800/- from his personal account.**
**Additionally, during this year the Vihara**
**supported a special appeal to provide relief to**
**families affected by COVID-19, which raised**
**£945/-. This was disbursed to Ven. Akurala**
**Samitha, who coordinated the delivery of the**
**food parcels as explained in this video:**
