The objects of the Charity are the following:-

Such advancement of the Christian faith and other charitable purposes shall be undertaken in a manner consistent with the Doctrinal Basis of Faith, the provisions of this Constitution and the Church Handbook, including without limitation the Doctrinal Distinctives and Ethical Statements, as may be current from time to time.
The Charity was registered in June 2019 and is a CIO which is intended to be the successor Charity of Carey Baptist Church, Reading, an unincorporated charitable association, registered number 1126468. The assets had not been transferred to the CIO by 31 December 2020 so that the CIO had not commenced operation by the end of 2020. However, the intentions of the charity can be summarised as follows in order to meet the requirements of its objects:Conduct regular Sunday worship and a biblical preaching ministry which is open to all and accessible to those unfamiliar with the Christian faith and those for whom English is not their first language. This will be on our own premises and/or on-line so that listeners can benefit both elsewhere in the UK and overseas. Conduct a comprehensive programme of teaching and activities for children, young people and students on Sundays and during the week. In addition, effort will be directed towards providing education and facilities for young people as well as promoting friendship and good community relations to all, including those from overseas and elderly people. We intend to use our premises and facilities essentially free of cost in the service of the local people.
Our vision for providing public benefit is not limited to our UK activities and we intend to contribute both financially and through our members working as missionaries promoting the Christian faith, providing education, developing clean water resources, improving medical facilities and the relief of poverty and hardship in several parts of the world.
While our intention is to interact freely with Church members and others in person we will comply with any Government and local restrictions and conduct meetings and all the activities mentioned above on-line, if possible, during the current pandemic and any lockdown constraints.
