|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|This was the fifth full year of the Wolverley<br>Memorial Charitable Trust and the third<br>“normal” year after the lifting of Pandemic<br>restrictions<br>The number of regular hirers and “one-off”<br>private hires for parties and other events<br>continued to increase.<br>One of the most significant achievements<br>in the year was the continued development<br>of the Community Café, extending the<br>opening hours and the range of services<br>provided.<br>The Cafe has become a popular meeting<br>place achieving the Charity’s aim of<br>establishing the Café as a community hub.<br>The Charity was again successful in<br>obtaining a “Warm Space” grant allowing<br>the Community Café to provide affordable<br>food and refreshments during the Winter<br>Period to help people with the cost of living<br>crisis and prevent isolation.<br>A programme of Eat, Drink and Learn<br>events has been introduced to encourage<br>local people to attend.<br>A Remembrance Service was held on 10<br>November at the Memorial Hall, followed<br>by a parade to the village church for the<br>first time since Covid.<br>This like the “Carols at the Hall” event will<br>now be an annual event|
