Trustees Annual Report for 2024-2025
During the year 2024-2025, Ms Baker has made several visits to The Gambia to continue the teacher training programme. The connection with Wullinkama Nursery has ceased.
We have been approached by another village, Pacholling, who want us to take over an existing school and turn it into a nursery school using the Gambian 'GOALS' curriculum. Ms Baker is in the process of discussions about land ownership. This must be settled before any commitment may be made.
Our association with Jofi School continues. A recent Government School Inspection specifically praised the nursery for its adherence to the Goals curriculum and the good progress the children have made. Individual assessments proved this to the Inspectors, who included the Director of Early Years Education in The Gambia.
We are hoping to expand the teacher training programme in the future and are actively seeking an appropriate location which may be Pacholling or somewhere else.
