Para 1.17 | The objects of the Charity include promoting the principles of good citizenship, serving the community in moral and welfare matters and supporting and encouraging young people and those in need by providing relief and humanitarian aid. The advancement of health by preventing avoidable blindness and assisting disabled people to lead independent lives or manage health issues. |

The Charity and its Members have given both physical and financial support to local disabled sports groups including disabled sailing and Care Homes and arranged the purchase of household items for individuals in and around Sleaford who were in need. This includes assistance to purchase a motorised wheelchair. Financial donations were also made to several local Emergency Services and to local Air Ambulance, Blood Bike Charities, Young Carers and schools. Donations to UK appeals for Sightsavers, Brain Tumour research and a local Stroke Unit. Donations were also made to joint appeals with other Lions Clubs to build a school in Kenya and to international appeals through Lions International for disaster relief in California, Ukraine, Brazil, Uganda and Pakistan. |
