anned a number of events., Comedy and Beer Festivals, a summer family day in association with
Thomer PTA and gigs by Weelwood Mat and The Boss and the Beeston Street Band. All were well
attended, bul additional planned events of a summer ball and autumn Vicloberfe8t were both
cancelled due to a lack of adVar￿ad ticket sales.
I'd like lo call out Mark Darfey, Alex Foster, Emma Waterland, Ros and Dave Ramsey and the PTA, as
well as the. too numerous to mentK)n. helpers lor assisting to put on these events.
During the year we continued with improvemenls to the Hall. these included reconfiguration of the
radiators in the small hall lo improve thoir efficiency. replacing the worn-out carpel flooring in the small
hall with more appropriate vinyl )looring and the installing solar panels on our roof. This18tter work is
part of th6 Sustainability Project initiated and supported by Thornef Community Fund and will se8 us
redu￿ our carbon footprSnL reduc8 OLtr dependency on fossil fuels and hopefully reduce our energy
costs.
Looking al 2025 and teyond we are looking al minor work$ of..
al replacing the last of the single glazed windows..
bl upgrading our obsolete WIFI network, and
cl fixing the posts that hohj our rear a￿$$ gate.
We have also started preparatory work on phase 2 of the sustsinability project with getting D3 10
