Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {"the Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515}Ib) of the Act. Also, for part of this period we continued to collect funds for the ‘One Cranleigh for Ukraine’ community project and to house and re-house many Ukrainian families in our locality. ## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)** Welfare requests and Wenceslas disbursements are administered by their respective committees with proposals being brought before the Club and Trustees for approval. Any proposal with a possible conflict of interest for any club member is first reviewed by the Board of Trustees. You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about: - policy on grantmaking; - policy programme related investment; The Club takes its responsibility for the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community very seriously and donations towards community projects are frequently supported. The Club had 57 members by the end of the year. In undertaking our work, we also rely on other supporters and the Friends of Cranleigh Lions Club, who all give their time freely and without payment or reward. Without such dedication and support we would not be able to function and achieve as much as we do. - contribution made by volunteers. **TAR** March **2012** 4 Section D Achievements and performance ## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** In addition to organising the above events to benefit the local community we were able, during this period to Donate c £101,000 - (£110000 last year) to local good causes from the proceeds of those and other activities and inward donations from local donors during the year. Over £19779 was donated to local individuals, families or groups through our general Welfare Donations. The One Cranleigh for Ukraine Fund has distributed over £22870 and still had available funds of over £8548. Over 200 Christmas Hamper Food Vouchers were provided at a cost of £12519. Youth projects £15152. We made over £13083 of general donations to local individuals, groups and organisations. One Stop Community Project £5649. Air Ambulance Kent, Surrey and Sussex received £1000. Project Wenceslas donated £2745 to help with Fuel poverty. Multiple District Donations to Lions International Foundation for disaster relief and Medical Appeals and good causes received some £4524.
