A year of growth
The year unfolded against a challenging funding backdrop. Rising costs. the ongoing decline
in stale-lunded music educatKJn. and the lightening of grant-making Criteria have placed
enomous pressure on small arts ¢harrties, with sorne trusts n¢M rewting success rates as
low as 4.10. Despite this, Future Talent ￿n11n￿ed to grow. increasing annual income
to £467.912, rrnre than double our 2020 total. This growth was fuelled by an expanding base
ol supporters, new mulli-year partnerships. and the continued k)yalty ot our existing funders.
Recognising the importance of marking ¢xJr 20th annNersary with ambrtion and impact, the
Trustees made the strategic decision lo invest £45,000 from reserves lo deliver RISE.
