## **General.** 

The main issues with Milborne Port Library this past 12 months were working with Somerset County Council as a Community Library Partnership (CLP) while continuing to monitor the construction progress of the proposed Community Hub with the Parish Council (PC). 

## **Community Library Partnership (CLP).** 

We have had communications by email and face to face meetings with the Parish Council, and Yeovil and County level representatives of the Library Service Village in the Town Hall to ensure the CLP is providing a suitable Library service for the Village. 

## **Library Technical Issues** . 

Technical issues were few this year.In the Town Hall the Parish Council are the controlling authority while the Library Staff are the main users and will be the first to respond to floods or electrical issues. Wifi has been a bugbear, with the Community wifi being at the end of several elderly connections.  The room heating has been recently improved with a wall mounted fan heater which can respond quickly if the room is deemed too cold. Latterly the Parish Council received a significant grant towards its costs from the “Help through Winter Fund”, a Council organisation found by the Library Service. 

## **Community Hub** 

The Parish Council continues to liaise with the developer, though the construction of the hub seems to remain on the developer's back burner 

## **Personnel** 

This year one of our two Library Staff retired and a new villager replaced her.  The CIO Trustees now number 8.
