- – Bugbrooke Pre school Parents information evening AGM
Date: 15[th] November 2021 Venue: Village Hall Bugbrooke
Hi welcome I am sure you all know who I am by now Victoria Manager of Pre-school and have for over 11 years. The last few years for everyone has been tough due to COVID and we did over very best to stay open. We did have to make changes but we found they turned out to be the best for the setting which we have still kept some of these changes in place. On entry, Children’s belongings such as trays and outdoor clothing, cleaning, (talk about this, do a learning talk, good practice for Ofsted).
Staff – Hannah completing her Early Years course. Heidi is our apprentice. Lorna, Charlie, Kerrie, Sharon.
Ofsted – we come under a new registration due to changing our name so therefore we are classed as a setting that currently not had an Ofsted inspection.
The ethos of Pre-school that I have tried to create is an environment where your children learn through play, making their own choices from free flow/ing inside and outside. Pre-school is their environment not for adults therefore we plan from the children to extend their interest allowing their learning to develop further. We follow the Statutory Framework and our curriculum (Sign post to our website) due to the recent change of Early Years this September (talk about this)
We also have a Facebook page and due to Covid all our correspondence is done via this as well through Email and Tapestry.
– – Tapestry online Journal from looking I think everyone has joined Tapestry..?
I am hoping you a have all managed to set this up and are enjoying seeing what activities your child/ren are taking part in. This system is a fantastic way for you to also have two way communication between yourselves and your child’s keyperson. Setting easy tasks/ next steps for your child to be extended at home.
There is an all about me section to fill out if you have not ready so, this gives the keyperson an insight to your child/ren’s interests at home.
Nature bugs
Due to Covid we could not attend Forest school, so Charlie did some training and the children, and the staff thoroughly enjoyed going out into the local community, find bugs, noticed differences between the seasons, bird spotting and whole a lot more. Bugbrooke has so many lovely places for the children to go on so many adventures.
We are always thinking of new ways to develop Pre-school to keep it at the heart of the community.
Thank you for attending this evening do you have any question’s..? please see myself or a member of staff if you would like to know more.
