Our goal is to deliver high-<br>quality education to underprivileged communities in Sub-Saharan<br>West Africa, starting with close collaboration with local communities<br>in Senegal under the banner of<br>**"Education for All"**<br>.<br>We are dedicated to creating a nurturing educational environment<br>that fosters the academic, moral, and physical development of<br>disadvantaged individuals, enabling them to flourish and unleash<br>their innate talents and abilities.<br>**OUR OBJECTIVES**<br>Our objectives align closely with our aims. Ensuring the<br>maintenance and enhancement of the BB standard is paramount to<br>us. In formulating our objectives and organising our activities for the<br>year, our Trustees have meticulously considered the Charity<br>Commission's guidance on public benefit. Nonetheless, these<br>objectives are formulated within the framework of the broader goals<br>we have set for the Charity.|

||The Trustees of the Benevolent Bonds present their annual report<br>and accounts for the year ended 30th April 2023 and confirm they<br>comply with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 and the<br>Charities SORP ( FRS 102).<br>**REVIEW OF ACTIVITIES**<br>**Chairman BB Activities**<br>The Chairman of BB conducted four visits to Senegal to personally<br>assess the progress of BB's ongoing projects. Additionally, the<br>Chairman engaged in several telephonic and Zoom meetings with<br>the Chairman of HF Senegal to discuss various administrative<br>matters.<br>**FACE-Elementary School Tambacounda (FACE-EST)**<br>**Construction**<br>BB continued the construction of the FACE-EST building in pursuit<br>of our goal, "Education for All," with a donation of £6,113 in 2022-<br>23. Plastering and flooring were finalised for four classrooms and<br>the office space.<br>**FACE Vocational Sewing School**<br>The school is in negotiations for a franchised venture with a local<br>charity to expand the availability of sewing facilities to a vocational|

institute. There is hope that more students will benefit from this arrangement, especially with the transfer of sewing machines to the new location. 

## **OUR FINANCES** 

The financial statement for the fiscal year 2022-23 reveals a surplus of £942 in BB activities. Net incoming resources amounted to £8,498, while expenses totaled £7,556. These funds were generated through donations and charitable activities, with a breakdown as follows: - Donations received via JustGiving: £1,020 - Donations received via bank transfer: £7,478 

All funds raised during the year were allocated to the construction of the school after fulfilling mandatory expenses. 

## **Development and Maintenance** 

The primary development project accomplished was the plastering and flooring of the infrastructure, for the first phase of four classrooms at FACE Elementary School in Tambacounda, Senegal.
