Commission on public benefit)
OUR AIMS
The Charity's object is to advance the education of the public in
particular, but not exclusively, in Senegal by the provision of grants
for the construction, refurbishment and decoration of elementary
schools.
We aim to provide a first-class education to the deprived people of
Subsaharan West Africa. Our initial target is to work closely with
local communities of Senegal with a goal of“Education for All”.
We strive to provide a structured educational atmosphere to less
fortunate members of the society in order to nourish and enrich their
natural aptitudes, capabilities and talents. We promote our learners'
academic, moral and physical development by providing them with
an environment where they can flourish their inbuilt abilities.
OUR OBJECTIVES
Our objectives are the reflection of our aims. It's critical to us that we
sustain and improve the standard of the FACE.
In establishing our objectives and planning our activities this year,
our Trustees have given thorough consideration to the Charity
Commission's public benefit guidance. However, these objectives
are set in the context of the broader goals we set for the Charity
itself.
The Trustees of the Foundation for African Children's Education
present their annual report and accounts for the year ended 30th
April 2021 and confirm they comply with the requirements of the
Charities Act 2011 and the Charities SORP ( FRS 102).

  1. We kept a close watch on the Covid 19 situation, however, unfortunately the circumstances didn’t permit us to start any activity during the year. We, however, have a detailed plan in place and as soon the situation improves, we shall start the activities.

OUR FINANCES The financial statement shows net incoming resources for the year on FACE activities of £13,764 and expenses of £12,912 which makes a surplus of £852.

The principal source of income is the donation accounting for £13,764. The Trustees are maintaining their approach of deploying all net incoming resources to utilise for funding educational projects in Senegal Subsaharan West Africa with a motto of "Education for All". Development and Maintenance The major development projects include the first phase of construction of FACE Elementary School Tambacounda, Senegal. Despite Covid-19 restrictions FACE continued building four classrooms, offices, toilets, stores and teacher’s residences.
