2019. It opetstes in acctsrdance wfth a ConstitLrtiorTr adopted on 28 May 2019. The Charity is ￿gIStered with the Charity
commi￿on in England and Wale5 and ts ￿gistratIOn number is 1183708. The Charity prevlously operated. from 2016,
as an unincorporated charlty-

The Trustees make the key decisiors about the condutt of the Charity. Trusteè5 give their time voluntarily and do not
receive any ￿MUneratr0n for their se￿ice5 to the Charity. The administration £rf the Charity was carrled out lèr8ely by
all the Trustee5.
In 2023, the Trustees IdentIf￿ areas for improvement, with greater links with the Court of the Company of Human
Resource Professionals. particutarly on the development of an Annuèl Awards programme. A newTrustee was recruited
from the Company's rnembership. Kirsten Owbrldge, who obseived the Tru5tees' Aprfl meetin8 and wa5 a fvll Trustee at
the June meeting.

The Trustees of the Charlty have given due 14ard to the Charity Comrnlssfon's guidance on public beneflt and have
taken reasonable step5 to ensure that thls gUIdan￿ has been cons5dered In the activltles undenaken by the Chaiity to
ddlver Its charitsbje purposes.
The Charity provides a benefit to the pU￿1C thmu8h the pursuance of its prlnclpal objects, in particular the
advancemeTht of education and prornotion of professional developrnent and participation in advancln8 human
re50urcesfor public benefit.

Durlng the course of 2024 the Charity recelved a total of fifteen grani submis5ion5 for consideratlons. Thi$ w85 on
Increase in applications, without promotion from previous year5. and was attributed to improvetnents rnade to the
ChaTty'S web51te. As SO￿ of the applicants were not registered Charitie5 or CICS, the Trustees revisited their awardin8
criteria and agreed that grants would be made available only to small to mediurn re8lStered Charllles or CICS. The
Trustees also agreed that thiscriterla was subject to 3 regular revlew.
The Ann￿1 Fundraising DSnner, led by the Court wlth kind donations fof auction5. resutted In a successful evening
echoln8 pre-covld tlmes. The Chaif lialsed wfch the Court's Membership Committee to review the process by which
regular donations could be sought to improve annual incorne. Following on from the former-masterfs initiative to drive
up regular donors there wasa small increase to 20 monthly donors. The Treasurer and the Chair prepared a test Gift
report and awaited feedback on it'5 success. This Is a key improvetnent are3 for 2025.
The Trustees condnued to review and optimisè the Charlty's Income, which intluded the transfer of funds to an interest
gainlng account. The annual Investment also resulted in tr3nsferring funds to the Charivs investment portfolio.
The 2024 Masterfs inr(iative forthe growth of charitsble fvnds resulted in an Increase in one-off donations. TheTrustees
would Ilke to take thi5 OPPOrtunty to thank the Master for thls successful initiative and for all the past-mèsters who
most generou51y donated to the Charity.
Through regular donatlons and the Court's contlnued fundraisln8 efforts thè TrL￿eeS were able to award grants and
contlnue to effectively rnanage the Charlty's funds.

The Charity has a Igniflcant portlon of its assets In an Investment fund managed by Rathbones. The remainder is in
cash in a savings interest-bearing account and current account. Thls flnan<lal year was a tumultuous one from a
geopolitical and macroeconomic perspective. Therefore. It was pleasant to fSnd a he8￿hY reported at year eThd

growth of it5 a55ets In support of the Company reachlng livery status. Trustees will continue to consider carefully the
investment st¥atedry as wèll as thè investment manager and determine if any changes are required in 2025.

During 2024, the Charity receiv& 17 enquirfes and IS completed grant submission& FollDwln8 due dlllgence,
assessment and careful consideration, the Trustees a8reed to award three small grants. One of the grant awards was
declded In the prevlous year. but the transartion w2$ made In 2024 to supportlnB the Sea Cadets to help with the
tralnlng of young people to develop themséfve5 and enhance thelr employability. This is aligned wr<h the Charity's
obiecbves.
In addition, the Trustees continued thelr on￿ing tommitment under Objective Fwe to support the aty of London
Corporation and the City of London Lord Mayorfs Appeal. The Lord Mayorfs Appeal ha5 four pillars whlch align well with
not only the Charity's objectNÈs. but the enhancement of the Hurnan Resource Profe55ion. specifically supportlng the
growth of an inclusi¥e. heakhyi skilled and fair City. It was an honour and a pleasure for the Chalr of Trustees to
iepresent the Charity at the annual City'lmpact Reception..
TheTrustees were mindful that m05t applKants related to Oblectlve Four to'facilttate employment or re￿ntry Into the
WorkpL7￿, and took the decision to ensure parityof thegrants proEramme against all the oblettlves.
Humber Job Hub ac was awarded a Kr3nt to SUPPOrt re*mployrnent of those furthest from WLirk. This project helped
twenty individuals.'- eighteen In group se￿￿n5 and two with individual sesslDns. Of these, eight gained employment
one partlclpated in volunteering while attively Iwklngfor work and three started fomial iralnin8 qualifications to ready
themselves for rhelr de$l￿d fvturejob. Participant feedback wa5 posltlve, forexample:

wrongattitude. I walked fwr mile5 each wayto attend the group each week and looked forward to each one.-
here wa5 a positive and open ethos. Everyone wa5 encouraged to contrlbure. The support helped to brin8 me up to
datè with job seeknng Cultu￿ and sparked new Idea5. It provlded an open, honest and sincere forum in a safe
envlronment to understand what employers are looklng for. I don't want to think where I would be now if I hadn't

hen I first contscted HumberJob Hub, afterfinding their information at a lo￿1 Food Bank, I h3d been out of work for
a long tlme and my mental heahh was 3t an all tlme low. I wanted to get b3ck Into work but lust didn't know how or
where to start. Attendin8 the 8roup ha5 helped me to see that l am not on the 5craphe3p. I have rn0￿ tD Dffer than I
thoLEht. My conlldence has grown, thanks to all the stsff who are brilliant. This ha5 been one of the best courses I have
been io.-

awarded ProAge a gr8nt to undertèke attlon ￿searCh to explo￿ and develop practical recornrnendations to redress age
discrirnination in the workplatr. The award support5 the Dbjettive to 5UPPOrt developments In wothplace culture and
other of people management which improve working lives.
Agelsm Isn't seen as an urgent and attionable prlority. There is a disconnert between the recognised tped to prepare
for an ageing Workfor￿(7.2 out of ioi and how leaders rated thelr own cuirent strategic preparations14.3 out Of 101.
Furtherrmre, the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development In 2022 showed out of 2(YJ6 organi5allons, only
13% Intend to plan for an ageingworkforce in thè next 5 years IProAgel.
Pro4%e researched and workshopped solLrtions to challenge work-related age15m. Thls award helped to dellver
workshops around the couniry engaglng 225 HR professlonals and DEI specialists. Thi5 culminated a report 'Makin8
Age Pav addressing key findin￿ The key reason for under-preparedness was that the busines5 case for age inclusion
was not clear and other aspects of DEI were taking priority (race and gender). ProAge mobilised to help organi5atlons
understand what could be achleved to attrart and retsin older workers across five citiès around the UK.. London.
Edinburgh. Manchester. Birmingham and Bristol.
The evldence Inthcated that awareness of age di5criminatlon was Improved, benefits of multlgenerational workforce
dvanta8es highlighted and prattical steps to ￿d￿e age dlscrfmlnation shared. ProAge rep)rted that they were
buildlng on thls work with the Greater London Authoriry ￿th events to help SMES attract and retsin older workers
during 2025.
The Trustee5 shared these tindin8 with the Court. recomrnendin8 a 5peclalist session to the incomiThg Master and the
wider Court.

The Company (Courtl takes the lead on fundraising, whereas the Charity takes respon51blllty for the safe manaeement

Individuals who provided ama25nE experien￿ and products to auttion. These fundraising efforts help the Charity
dellver more againstthe 0tr4ectives and to rdise the profile of the Company of Human Resource ProfesslonaL%.
In suppon of fundraislng efforts, the Trustees speak at events. For example. they hosted an informal informatlon
gathering In a CTtyof London pub. where members could meet one of our p￿vIoUS recipient5. The Trustees prepare and
share storles on how the Company members are 'givlng back,. During 2024, the Trustees Identified future ways to
enhance the £raffls programme with Improved comrnunication on the efforts of the Pro-bono Committee.

to be In excess of 250 hours per annum wlth an estimated volunteer-grft value of £8,750.
The adrnlnlstratlve tssks requlred to effectfvely run the Charliv have been monitored durln8 2024. with standard
operating procedures estsblished and an end￿f-vear decision to seek admlnlstratlve wppon durln8 2025. The g￿1 was
to provide Improved and tlrnely corre5p)ndencÈ for grant appllcants and to relieve the burden on some of the key
Trustees wrch operational funct*)ns to enable thèrn to focus on govemance.
