## Objectives

##  Educational Workshops and Seminars

- Focused on healthcare education and teaching English and Swahili languages.

- Financial and Material Support

- Providing food, goods, and other essential materials to those in need.

- Promotion of Tanzanian Culture

- Showcasing traditional Tanzanian cultural activities, including music, art, dance, and carvings.

## Strategies

Our activities are widely promoted and open to everyone in the local community. All services are provided free of charge, supported by donations and the efforts of volunteers. We are committed to ensuring equal opportunities by implementing policies that provide equal access to all, regardless of belief, faith, gender, sexuality, ability, age, colour, or race.

## Use of Volunteers

Volunteers are a vital part of our organisation and play a key role in our activities. They actively contribute to most community initiatives, with 12 dedicated individuals regularly participating and committing their time to help implement our plans and programs.

## Principal Funding Sources

The charity’s main source of income comes from donations. No fundraising

activities were organised during the year.

## Activities and Achievements

The charity carried out a variety of activities in pursuit of its charitable aims and objectives, including:

- Health and Social Support Education

   - Organising professional doctors to provide health education to those in need during annual meetings.

- Community Support Awareness

   - Educating community members on the importance of supporting one another during difficult times, particularly focusing on assisting the homeless and individuals who lost their jobs and/or families due to COVID-19 and other maladies.

- Youth Engagement and Development

   - Encouraging young people to actively participate in community initiatives, such as environmental clean-ups, assisting the elderly in their homes, and engaging in sports to promote health and well-being.

## Plans for Future Periods

There is a growing need to recruit new trustees as well as both employed and volunteer staff to manage the day-to-day operations of the charity. This will help meet our objectives and support the expansion of activities, especially as the number of people benefiting from our services continues to increase. Emerging challenges related to changes in education, health, and cultural practices require a proactive approach. Engaging various sectors of the community is vital to ensure our plans remain inclusive and effectively address the needs of our service users.

## Statement of Trustees’ Responsibilities

The charity trustees are responsible for preparing the annual report and financial statements in compliance with applicable laws and accounting standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice). According to the law, the trustees must ensure that the financial statements present a true and fair view of the charity's financial position, as well as the resources coming in and going out. In preparing these financial statements, trustees must:

- Select and consistently apply suitable accounting policies and standards.

- Adhere to the methods and principles outlined in the Charities SORP.

- Make reasonable and justifiable judgements, decisions, and estimates.

- Prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis, unless it is inappropriate to assume that the charity will continue operating.

Additionally, trustees are responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records that reflect the charity's financial position and for ensuring compliance with charity regulations. They must also safeguard the charity’s assets and take reasonable steps to prevent and detect fraud and other irregularities.
