It was unfortunately not possible to recommence the charity’s activities during the year. At an online meeting of the trustees on 3[rd] June, 2023 it was agreed that it was not currently practical to undertake new projects during 2023 and early 2024.
However, at an online meeting of the trustees on 18[th] March, 2024 it was provisionally agreed that, as a prelude to further activity over the coming year and beyond, we would aim to actively support two projects outlined to us by the artistic director of our initiating 2017 project, Voices Beyond Divisions , Asha Parkinson involving possible collaboration with other charitable and educational organisations. The first is an international project with young people in several countries including current conflict zones focusing on the theme of water, its importance and meaning. The second involves projected workshops led by Arab refugee musicians living in London with young people in Oxford and elsewhere. We have requested further details of these projects for our June trustees meeting.
