ANNUAL ACCOUNTS TO 30[TH] JUNE 2022
The aim of the Charity is the same as Lions international and that is:-
“To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs.”
Following the covid pandemic when all our activities were curtailed due to isolation and lockdowns, this has been a year when we have tried to start recovering our position and restart our regular fundraising activities. We were able to put on our Santa’s Grottos using masks and hand gel to keep everybody safe but it was difficult to get anything else moving. However we have a project to make a Peace Garden in Matlock as a thank you to all those essential workers who kept the area going during covid and also to remember those who lost their lives. A fundraising campaign has started to gather the necessary funding.
We have been able to support a number of worthy causes during the year and look forward to this impr4oving in the future.
