As part of this expansion, the charity has invested
heavily in the personal growth and development of
the team, thereby fulfilling the needs of our

the year, the organisation provided support to 2265
women in and around the Wythenshawe area. Support
included practical assistance when moving out of
Refuge, moving out of area, sourcing household items,
and providing food & toiletries where required.
Twice weekly Freedom Programme group session were
added to the portfolio of regular Coffee Morning
sessions, Healthy Relationships, Confidence Building
and Arts & Crafts sessions.
This gave more women the opportunity to access our
‘add-on’ services.
Weekly Legal Advice Drop-In sessions resumed, giving
women who either needed to talk through a situation,
or, needed to commence a legal process, the
opportunity to do so in a safe environment.
All one-to-one appointments proved to be valuable in
allowing time to deal with more complex trauma cases.
Practical advice and skills were provided to support
services users live happy, safe and sustainable lives.
Local partnership working with Police, Social Services,
Schools, Housing, Food banks and other organisations
continue to be invaluable.
The organisation continues to provide multiple methods
of contact for service users, including:
Website, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Email,
Telephone and safe face-to-face appointments where
