Fox Angels Foundation for the year ended 31 March 2022 and Constitution is a registered charity (1183633) operating mainly in the area of England. It exists as an Association. Its governance is outlined in a constitution adopted on 15th March 2019 and the charity was registered on 29th May 2019.

## Objectives and Activities

The charity’s purpose is to advance public awareness of the behaviour and ecology of Foxes and to relieve the suffering of Foxes and other animals in need of care and attention and in particular to provide or maintain refuges or hospitals or other facilities for the collection, reception, care and rehabilitation of sick or ill-treated Foxes and other animals until their eventual release into the wild or otherwise their transfer to a sanctuary or rehomed in the case of domesticated animals (including domesticated foxes and those wild foxes that cannot be released due to health issues). Public Benefit

The charity’s trustees are satisfied that they fully comply with the requirements of the Charities Act 2006 with regard to public benefit. Fox Angels Foundation seeks to release or rehome as many animals as it can. Rescue animals are cared at animal sanctuaries in England. Volunteers provide fostering care in their own homes if necessary. Rehoming is done with great care, visiting prospective new owners and providing advice and inspection services. Adopters are asked to make a contribution to the costs of the charity.

Fox Angels Foundation obtains veterinary care on behalf of carers and for animals. Trustees and volunteers provide education visits and talks to schools, libraries, local associations and church groups when requested.

## Achievements and Performance.

During 2021-22 the Charity continued to work and our activities have increased thanks to our network of rescuers (at 31 March 2022 there was a total of 25) based throughout England. The Charity has continued to acquire equipment used by rescuers to collect sick and injured foxes.

Veterinary care costs have also increased due to more injured and sick foxes being helped. Over 43 fox rescues have been carried out throughout the year.

Fox Angels Foundation prepares its accounts using the receipts and payments method as permitted under the Charities Act 2015. Gross income is £20,443.00 over 12 months. Current costs are contained within the income received and where appropriate the charity invests in further improvements and maintains its enclosures. The charity continues to be able to support its activities. However, the generosity of supporters through donations, endowments and bequests indicated that the charity is solvent.

## Reserves Policy

The charity normally maintains limited general reserves and these are to be applied to support and maintain the development of the charity and to ensure financial security.

Volunteers make a significant contribution by caring for animals and being involved in fundraising activities and administrative duties. Volunteers receive appropriate guidance and training from the Charity Trustees.

Trustees are elected at the Charity’s annual general meeting (AGM) and normally appointed for one year. A meeting was held on 26 January 2023 and

the current Trustees agreed to continue as Trustees except Angela Paterson who has passed away. A new chairman and trustee Christian Pearce was elected and a new trustee Scarlett Hutchinson has been added.

The charity has policies and procedures relating to its current principle activity which is the rescue, rehabilitation, release of foxes if possible or rehoming if not. These activities are the responsibilities of the trustees and designated re-homers. The major operation risk is the uncertainty of income arising from economic difficulties. The trustees maintain a reasonable balance to reduce risk in this area, and constantly see, and attract donations and bequests.
