April ’23 to April ’24 PTA Chair report 

Since our last AGM we have worked tirelessly over the academic year to raise funds which have allowed us in the last 12 months to fund: 

6 Picnic benches for Infant and junior yards Steve Jenks Murals for courtyard Funded the groundwork for the schools Polytunnel. Early years equipment and resources Contributed to the costs of children’s Xmas visits to Santa and Panto The replacement of Wooden play equipment in infant garden 

We have done this through numerous events & fundraising activities such as the below: 

Sports day Hamper for him Summer Fayre Spooky disco & scary hair day Smartie Challenge Xmas Fayre, Xmas raffle and Xmas 4 School Valentines Disco Mother’s Day Pamper Hamper & gifts Easter Bounce Preloved Uniform School lottery 

We are proud of these activities that not only raise the funds to support the school but also bring the whole community together through our Fayres and Sports day. 

The money also allows us to give back to families and help support school trips last Xmas for the infants to go to Xmas Tree Farm and Juniors to Carmarthen’s Panto. We have also supported the parent community through preloved uniform sales. 

We would like to support all those who support us over the year – especially the Committee and parents that help organise and run these events without which nothing would happen. We are also very lucky to have Mrs Davies and the wonderful Teachers and Staff at the school who help at main events. A special thank you to Gaynor Davies and Lisa Morgan who support the PTA all year by being contact points for the school. 

This year we said goodbye to Lisa Morgan, and we thank her for the many years of support. 

Our committee and trustees remained unchanged but at the end of this year we will see some opportunities to join as a trustee to help run the charity. We would also like to thank all the parents and wider community that support us through participation, baking and sponsorship. It really is a community effort, and each element is needed to do what we do. 

We welcome all new support and participation and please message if you would like to get more involved as we need you! There is no official sign up to be a member of the PTA if you are a parent or friend of the school, you automatically qualify.
