||Buddy system –During this time, trustees were allocated a recently<br>diagnosed cancer patient to offer friendship and support to. Trustees,<br>were also tasked with accompanying cancer patients to and from their<br>hospital appointments.<br>Trustees provided complimentary meals once a week to recently<br>diagnosed cancer patients as a gesture of support for their overall well-<br>being, both physically and mentally.<br>Bonded Thru Cancer have delivered free support workshops (around<br>diet and exercise) toTrustees, members of the medical profession,<br>members of the public (who are associated with cancer patients)<br>and newly diagnosed cancer patients.<br>Public Benefit<br>The key aim of this initiative is to enhance the physical and mental<br>wellbeing of newly diagnosed cancer patients, ultimately leading to an<br>improved coping mechanism. The primary goal is to alleviate<br>symptoms of poor mental health and physical wellbeing, while also<br>supporting the initial medical treatment process.<br>The community set to benefit from this public service includes newly<br>diagnosed cancer patients, medical professionals involved in their care,<br>volunteers supporting the initiative, and members of the public who<br>have direct contact with individuals facing a recent cancer diagnosis.<br>Evaluation<br>Prior to the workshop and upon its completion, an initial survey is<br>administered to newly diagnosed cancer patients and their family<br>members to assess their mental health status. Similarly, all participants<br>|

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

BTC was able to fundraise £ 3400 this went towards BTC main activities. BTC was able to utilise Trustees to carry out its objectives. BTC was able to support 12 newly diagnosed cancer patients via our food delivery service. BTC was able to support the wellbeing and mental health of 18 family members via our support workshops and community meals which were delivered virtually.
