To promote the wellbeing of newly diagnosed cancer patients. To befriend newly diagnosed patients and support them through their medical treatment and their aftermath. **Summary of the objects** To educate the public and the medical profession about the **of the charity set out in** emotional needs of those who have been newly diagnosed with **its governing document** cancer. Buddy system – Volunteer buddies are assigned a newly diagnosed cancer patient to befriend. Buddy’s accompany cancer patients to and from hospital appointments. 

Volunteer buddies deliver free meals once weekly to newly diagnosed cancer patients to support their physical and mental wellbeing. 

Volunteers prepare healthy nutritious meals for newly diagnosed patients that attend the community dinner sessions in a donated restaurant community building.

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

BTC were given access to an empty building to run a pop up charity shop. 

Volunteers ran the shop on a rota basis. 

BTC was able to fundraise £21428 from the pop up charity shop this went towards BTC main activities. 

BTC was able to acquire in excess of 15 volunteers to carry out its objectives. 

BTC was able to support 33 newly diagnosed cancer patients via our food delivery service. 

BTC was able to support the wellbeing and mental health of 33 family members via our support workshops and community meals which were delivered virtually. 

BTC volunteers opted to cook and deliver food to cancer patients.
