||Vietnamese Family Partnership’s (VFP), is a London-based charity that|

||aims to bring the Vietnamese community together. We believe that we|
||are stronger together and that understanding our cultural identity is key to|
||fulfilling our life potential. We provide support and advice, Vietnamese|
||language lessons and cultural events for the entire community, such as|
||our flagship Lunar New Year event.|
||Key priorities include:|

Volunteers supporting our main events increase year on year, we received over 100 applications. They take part in a host of activities such as front and backstage management, meet and greet, food and drinks stalls, raffle management, crowd controlling and activities management. The Charity plans to host an evening with the volunteers later in the year as a show of appreciation. - ● Establishing a self-sustaining Luncheon Club with 20-25 regular members. 

- ● Finalising the design for the Non la-Vietnamese Sculpture Installation. 

- ● We are working to secure a lease for the Vietnamese Mental Health Service office, still in conversation with Southwark Council 

- We’re currently focused on fundraising for the sculpture and exploring further collaboration opportunities.

Expenditure for the year totalled to £67.4k (2023: £46.3k). This is driven by increased staff costs of £44.5k (2023: £38.3k), event activities £15.0k (2023:  £2.9k) and office rent of £3.0k (2023: £nil). 

Staff cost increased by £6.0k during the year towards project management, hiring of artists for the Beneath the Non la project, admin and teaching. 

The Charity’s independent examiner report and accounts is available on the Charity Commission for England and Wales website. 

Applications for funding is prepared by the CEO and reviewed by the Trustees to ensure completeness prior to submission.

As part of continued personal development, the CEO spent six months during the year attending the Lewisham Fundraising course to gain knowledge and skills in fundraising. Increased funds will allow additional resources to tackle special cases in the advice and support services we provide to the community.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31 / 03 / 2024** . 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
