## **Workshops and meetings**
The covid19 lockdowns have meant face-to-face workshops and meetings were not appropriate for much of 2020/21. We have though continued our activities though online events and held in-person events where

2020/21 has seen a number of radio and TV interviews,
and the formation of a letter writing group to source
articles into local newspapers, especially the hard-to-

The lockdown restrictions meant virtually no in-person public events were possible between May’20 and Jul’21. During this reporting period the Campaign: - attended various DCC-organised cycling festivals in the summer of 2021. (The Campaign was present at additional events after Jul’21). - held an open-air ‘meeting of concern’ on the Quickprint roundabout after three children were hit by cars. This was well attended (100+ people) including numerous local councillors, the Exeter MP and broadcast news. - The online workshops listed above were open to the public and advertised through our social media channels. 1. ## **Achievements and Performance**

throughout the year to contribute their
time and energy and to engage with city
and county leaders.
- The Campaign continues to receive
thanks from both citizens and elected
councillors for our engagement in the city.

**Infrastructure improvements for safety and accessibility** Over this reporting period the Campaign has: - met regularly with the lead DCC Transport Officer for Exeter to seek to influence the county’s road planning. - pushed for and commented on the draft long term cycling and walking plan (‘LCWIP’) for Exeter. - made proposals for Growing the Cycle Network in Exeter - made proposals for which streets could be made more covid safe - commented on the Clyst Valley Regional Park Consultation response (Dec 2020). - commented on the West Street contraflow; South Street contraflow; Dryden Road consultation, Magdalene consultation; Union Road consultation - proposed a new ‘Nurses Way’ route for the city The Campaign’s ‘Quick Win’ list is actively used by DCC to prioritise locations for quick, low cost changes on cycle routes. Some have already been implemented, e.g. to remove obstacles, improve signage, make drop kerbs, etc, to join up routes and improve accessibility for adaptive cycles, child trailers and cargo bikes.

## **Financial Review**

Review of the charity’s Para 1.21 The Campaign has remained in credit

The balance of funds in the Campaign’s
current account at 31 July 2021 was
£2347.97. Income for the year was £1362
and outgoings £249. All income was
unrestricted. Expenditure was limited by
the restrictions on activity imposed by the
coronavirus pandemic, and so funds have
accumulated during the year. This will
enable increased activity in future years
as a wider range of events become
possible.
