Section D Achievements and performance Over the past year, Wivey Cares has continued to grow its network of **Summary of the main** volunteers and register of Micro-Providers. Respectively these figures **achievements of the charity** now stand at 13 (12 last year) and 62 (59 last year). Our Micro-Providers **during the year** respond to diverse requests for help and assistance from our community and the surrounding parishes. We continue to help secure the higher and lower rate Attendance Allowance (and Blue Badges) for some of our clients, making a major difference in their ability to secure the care they need. The number of people receiving care has also risen and currently stands at 132 from 100 at the same time last year. Our database shows that this number continues to grow month on month. With the increase in Micro-Providers, we are now able to facilitate earlier hospital discharges, with a knock-on cost saving to the NHS from ‘bed blocking’. The Memory Activity Group continues to be a great success with a good number of regulars attending each week. We have also established our new Friday lunch club ‘Hub & Grub’. It has only been running for a month or so, but so far it has been very well received. Once again, it is only possible to provide such a group with the input of our dedicated volunteers. Over the past 12 months we are slowly moving towards becoming selfsustaining and less reliant on grants. We have set up a ‘Friends of Wivey Cares’ scheme, plus we ask clients to make a small monthly contribution towards the care they receive, and we ask Micro-Providers to make a small annual donation towards the training and support they receive. To initiate this move to self-reliance, we secured a grant to take on a temporary fundraising co-ordinator.

## **Section E Financial review**

We are looking to sustain a 3-month reserve to cover our running costs of **Brief statement of the** approximately £10,000. **charity’s policy on reserves Details of any funds materially** None **in deficit**
