Summary
The 2020-21 Stason of rhe Cumbria Opera Group was defined by rhc Cumbria Opera Fesriyal, which rook
place from the 4th-Ilth SepEember 2021. In preparation for the Festival, The Consort of the Cumbria
Opera Group ￿rEorniea 2 sm211 COVID-friendly Christnias Conceri in December 2020. This w2S
done ro raise Fund5 For rhe upcoming Fesrival, bur more generally ro raise awarene55 OE who we are and ro
give rhe residents of Kendal something to smile about after a difficult year.
The Festival Launch Night rook pl￿e in June 2021, Fearuring three soloisrs from rhe upcoming Fesrival.

OF the Festival was introduced between singers, performances, with a large and enthusiastic
crowd in atteiidance.

and in presenting Fully-scaged performances ofthree operas. We were particularly delighted that the Festival

attracted many young spectators, with the last nighi of Gosifan tlltte, seeing twenty Young Persons, Tickets
sold.
