Chorley FC Communrty Foundation is the charitable communty organisation closely linked
to Chodey Football Club. We use the power of football and sport lo bring people together,
improve wellbeing, and create opportunities across Chorley Borough and Surrounding areas.

This has been a year of growth and innovation. We directly engaged thousands of people
across our programmes, vrith several proj8cts exceeding p8rttcipatlon tsrgets and others
evolving in response to communty demand.

Appointment of a full-time Project Manager, buiklin9 our delivery and oversight
capacity.
Launch of the Chorley FC Business Club, Creating a platfrKm for local companies to
support community Inltlatives.
Hosting our first Chrl8lmas Day at Vlctory Park, welcoming anyone who would
otherY￿Se be alone. The ￿8￿1 received widespread local and natlonal attention,
including Coverage from Sky Sports, and was embraced by the football family.
Secudng Natlonal Lottery Avmrds for All fundlng to expand activitles for over-55$.

Our Soccer Sthools remain one of the most Nisib￿ and ac￿sible Kffogramtros run.
Taking place during schty￿ h￿￿aYS. they give children aged >13 a safe, affordable. and
fun environment to ￿ay, leam. arKI meat friends. Delivered SUPFQrt of Chorley
FC'S first-team staff and players. these camps are often a chikl's first step into football.

friendships.

We gave 460 Children the oppthinity to eni)y a ctr￿ FC matchday from behind the
scenes, including meeting players, leadi￿ out the team, and taking part in hatf4ime games.

Blok￿ Unlled Isoclal Incluslon Footbaul
Blokes United continues to thrive, often reaching 12paty *ilh 51H4 men attendrng weekly.
Sessions combine focthall with friendship, helping men improve their heath and find peer
supwt for mental ￿ElIbeIng.

5. Play & Connect (MIxod4•nd•r Football)
New this year, P* & Connect grew from the interest of partners of Bfc&es United wEmbers.

We opened our doors to welcome anyone who would otherwise have been alone. Guests

10. Chorfey FC Bu8lne88 Club
Launched in 2024 and run by the Foundation, the Business Club brings together local
companies to ne￿rk, leam about community projects, and explore support opportunities.
ImpacL" Early feedback shows strong appetite for collaboration, provldlng a new FSatform for
avrdrèness and resources.

The Trustees confimi that we follow the Charity Commission'5 guldance on public benefi( as
required under section 17 of the Charit￿$ Act 2011.
Our publlc ben8llt18 demonstratsd through:
Aee•s8lblllty: Free or subsidised sessions so cost is not a barrler.
Incluslon: Prcgrammes designed for those often excluded- older adults, disabled
people, families on low incrjmes. and those at risk of loneliness.
Reach: Thousands of children, young people, adults took part this year.
Impact: Participant surveys show improved wellbeing. confldence, and belongiThJ.
Adults reported a 97% likelihood of continuing and an average recommendation
score of 9.7FJ10.

Lan¢ashire FA, Deaf Village Lancashlre, and local schools help us reach those most
in need.

Safeguardlng
The Trustses of Chortey FC Communty Foundalion place the highest priority on
safeguarding all those who èngage w￿h our programmes. We recognise our duty of ¢are not
onty to children yourKJ people. but also to adults at rfsk and anyone who may be
vulnerable.
We operate under clear safeguarding policies, aligned wth both the Football Association's
safeguarding standards and Charfty Commission guidance. All 818ff and volunlews
undertake safeguarding training relevant to their roles, with enhanced DBS checks carried
out where appropriate. The Foundation has a Designated Safeguarding Officer, supported
by safeguarding Eeads within our tNslees, ensuring clear reporting lines and accountability.
Safeguarding is embedded in every aspect of our work. From h¢lld8y camps and school
sessions to adult wellbelng programmes, our team ensures safe environments where

The Foundation had incorrÈ of£84,150 {2tr24- £52.361} and exper￿8$ of £74,470 (2024-
£50,626), leaving a surplus of £9,680 {2024- £1.735). The Foundalton's overhèads and
support costs are minimal and mwTty of the ews8s are on charitable *ivitses.

The Trustees have a p0￿cY of carying min¥num free reserves of£12,000 to o)ver i*
