The relief of persons who are in conditions of need or hardship by reason of their youth, age, illhealth, disability, financial or other disadvantage and to relieve the distress caused thereby in the county of StaSordshire and elsewhere as the trustees may from time to time see fit. Annual Report 4 Victory Church Rugeley Charity Number 1183524 ## Achievements and Performance Throughout this year we have seen God’s faithfulness in many areas of the church and community around us. It has been a blessing to continue with our regular community support events, such as the uniform bank, and the week of wonder which have continued to reach more and more people each year. It was also a privilege to have BBC Midlands today come into the church and do a report on the Week of Wonder project. It was a joy to be able to share stories of hope and God’s faithfulness in our local community. community of Rugeley. Despite the weather being uncooperative in the morning, we still saw more than 400 people in attendance. We had an opportunity to distribute materials for the church and provide a space where people could talk and have an opportunity for prayer if needed. It was great to see the community come together and we are so grateful for the 55 volunteers that gave up so much time that day to serve others. support worker in our church. This creates an environment where people can ask questions about parenting, and learn together. It has been an invaluable resource, and we are so excited to see this continue to grow in the coming years. Throughout this year we have also continued to see growth within the church community, with regular Sunday services and mid-week meetings for various groups within the church. It was a joy to come together in October to celebrate the diversity of our church membership with our African and Caribbean night. It was wonderful to celebrate some of the cultures in our church, to worship and fellowship together. We also had the opportunity to join with Rugeley Community Church to host a joint service. There was an incredible sense of unity, and it demonstrated the true body of Christ in action. We have also seen the connection with our Victory churches in Europe continue to grow, with regular ministry trips to Spain and Poland throughout this year. This culminated in a European conference which we hosted in November and had 15 people from Spain and Poland join us for our conference. We have also had the opportunity to see our Youth and Children’s ministry continue to grow in the church. The Youth ministry host a Takeover service during the year, where they lead every part of our Sunday service, and served in every aspect of a Sunday service. It was also wonderful to see the children’s ministry lead us in a nativity production for our Christmas family service. God has been so faithful in our Youth and Children’s ministry, and we are excited to see what He will continue to do in the coming year. Annual Report 5 Victory Church Rugeley Charity Number 1183524 ## Structure, Governance and Management VCR is a Charity Incorporated Organisation (CIO) governed by a constitution. The trustees are elected by the CIO members in accordance with the constitution; this would normally occur during the Annual General Meeting. The day-to-day running of the church is carried out by the Senior Pastor, and Pastoral StaS, who report to the trustees. ## Other Details Victory Church Rugeley is associated with Victory Churches International (VCI). VCI collects and holds funds for the use of VCI within the UK and Europe for use in those home countries and for international missions. The VCI Board has requested that these funds be held and managed by Victory Church Rugeley on their behalf and in accordance with their instructions for the use of the funds; these are included in the church’s accounts and listed under the relevant Restricted Funds.
