LWBC Annual Trustees' Report

September 2022

The club intends to actively participate in the NBL with teams across various age groups, from U12 - U18, and D3 men's divisions. The club aims to represent itself well and showcase its talent and commitment to the sport. Open evening planned to promote individual player development and the clubs annual season calendar.

The League games kicked off on 3[rd] weekend of September.

October – December

The clubs u12s team participated in the CBL and U12s -D3 men’s participated in NBL 2022/2023 season.

On Friday 9[th] December the Club held its AGM, where the trustees all presented reports and discussed the club's progress. Following the meeting, the club hosted its Christmas party, creating a festive and enjoyable atmosphere for all club members and their families.

Overall, the club anticipates significant achievements in both league competitions and international tournaments, whilst also maintaining its commitment to community engagement and providing opportunities for young players to develop their skills. The club's trustees remain dedicated to the club's success and will continue to work towards furthering its objectives in the upcoming year.

January – April 2023

Training sessions and League games resumed with the resumption of school.

All our teams competed well to the end of season. Our players all developed in their ball handling skiks and on-court IQ in accordance with Basketball England Talent Aspire Programme. OU166 Boys Conference team won all their games in their Conference and knocked out a Premier Team in the Play-offs to gain promotion to th Oremier League. This was an excellent achievement for this team and the club. Nest season they will compete in the Premier League. Well done to the team!

London Warriors Basketball Club

May - June:

On 11[th] May, the club scheduled its annual award ceremony, where all players were recognized and awarded for their contributions throughout the year.

In May and June, we conducted team trials in preparation for to register teams with basketball England for 2023/2024 season. In June we registered teams in all age groups and genders from U10s and U18s and D3 men. Training sessions were reduced to once weekly for each team as we are now in our off-season.

July- August

During the summer holidays, the club collaborated with the London borough of Hounslow to organize holiday camps for children on free school meals. This initiative aims to provide a positive and engaging experience for these children during the summer break. The club will subsequently close for a two-week period for the last two vweeks of August.

The Board meets with all team managers, Safeguarding team, social media team to update all policies, procedures, and raining certifications.
