It is registered as a Charitable<br>Incorporated Organisation and is a ‘not for<br>profit’ organisation. A voluntary<br>management committee employ three<br>members of staff during a week.<br>The setting is situated in the Power Station<br>in Cwmbran. Unfortunately, the Cylch had<br>to close due to COVID 19 and has now<br>reopened since September 2022 although<br>numbers continue to be a low. Hopefully<br>the numbers will increase in the near<br>future. The Cylch continued to provide<br>Breakfast Club for the children of Ysgol<br>Cymraeg Cwmbran. The setting is a<br>member of ‘Mudiad Meithrin,’ a national<br>organisation which provides insurance,<br>advice, support, and training.|

The focus of its work is to improve<br>the life chances for the children in its care.<br>This including supporting and developing<br>the Welsh language skills of children from<br>Welsh speaking backgrounds and through<br>introducing the Welsh language to children<br>who come from non-Welsh speaking<br>backgrounds.<br>By introducing a new language during the<br>pre-school years this is the most effective<br>way for children to become bilingual, which<br>in the future will increase opportunities of<br>employment when they become adults.<br>We work closely with local authority<br>to ensure that staff complete training to<br>upskill and to provide high quality provision.<br>We plan our activities by assessing and<br>planning so that we meet the need for each<br>child. Each child is monitored to identify|





any individual support is needed to meet the needs of the child. Referrals are made by us to the Local Authority to provide individual support for the target children.
