The PCC and the Churchwardens are also specificalty re5p)n5ible for the maintenance of the Church Buildin& Hall. Church Room and grounds of St Andrews Frimley Green & Mytchett. 2. Objectives and Activitles The PCC is committed to enabling as many people as wssbi le to worship at our church and to become part of our church family at St Andrews. Our seNices and worship put faith into practice through prayer, Scriptu and music. when planning our activit*s for the year. the Incumbent and PCC have considered the Charity Commission'5 guidance on public benefit. particularty the specific guidance for chartties on the advancement of religion. We try to enable ordinary people to live out thetrr faith as part of our church family through: Worship and prayer, Learning about the gospel and developi their knowledge and trust in Jesus through the preaching and teaching of the Bible: Provision of pastoral care for people living in the parish. Missionary and outreach work. To facilitate this wort it is important that we maintain the fabric of our Church Building and its Church Hall and Church Room. The Incumbent Suresh Menon is retiring on 10 May 2026 and the Churchwardens and the PCC will continue to run the church in line with the aims and purposes stated above and continue with the same objectNes and activities as far a5 P055ible while a new Incumbent is sought. 3. Athievements and Performance Worship ond Proyer The PCC offer a range of serKes on a knjay alowide Bible study and other groups during the week and over the course of the year the church community finds these both beneficial and spirttually fulfilling.
All are welcome to attend our regular5eiCeS. At present the are 79 parishioners on the Church Electoral Roll. The average weekly attendance. counted durin8 October was 77 adults and 24 under 16s. As well as regular Servi5. we hold weddings. funerdls and baptism5 throughout the year. An extended mission weekend was held in February 2025 which provided opportunities to share the gospel wtth guests and encouragement to the church family. De(3nerySynod In line with its electoral roll allocation. the PCC continued to have two elected Deanery Synod Representatives during 2025. The Church Building ond Church Holl Regular cleanin& Maintenan and repairs have been caffied out as necessary. The mould reported in previous years on the Church Building roof appear5 to be under control andwill continue to be monitored withthe Church Building kept at the recommended temperature. The car park bays to the rear of the Church Building have all been repainted as well as the disabled parking bay. Several potholes on the church driveway have also been repaired. The next Quinquennial inspection is due in 2027. Pastoral Core Our artivities nomlalty include: Baby and toddler group for pre-sthool children", Friday coffee moming for anyone who wants to attend: Youth Worship Band practice; Work in local schools- Sunday aftemoon teas for the eTderty: Quartedy Songs of Praise events on Sunday afternoons- 3 x Sunday children's groups for all ages {tsking pla duri our Sunday service); Midweek Bible study groups for members of the church farnity. 4. Financial Review Finoncetsummory Total receipts on unrestricted funds were £143.524.73. £69.999.96 was spent on the Parish Share together with £2.030 spent on capitsl projects. Salaries were £32.857.58. Reserves Policy Free reseeS as at 31 December 2025 were £124,940.78. It is PCC policy to maintain a balance on unrestricted funds lif possible) which equates to at least three month< unrestricted payments {equivalentto £28.7751 and that the level of (ash inthe deposit accountwould not be taken below £50,000. The current level of free reserves is above the reserves level because of future anticipated capital expenditure. It is PCC polKy to invest funds with the CBF Church of England Deposit Fund. 5. Structure. governance and management
Funrtion of PCC The Parochial Church Council is a corporate body established by the Church of England. The general functions of the PCC are stated within section 2 of the Parochial Church Council (Powers) Measure 1956. The PCC is a registered charity. The method of appointment of PCC members ts set out in the Church Representation Rules. At St Andre5 the membership of the PCC consists of the Incumbent, Churchwardens Treasurer and elected members from the Church's elertoral roll. All those who attend the church and who are on the elertoral register are encouraged to stand for election to the PCC. The PCC members are responsible for rnaki decisions on all matters of general concern and importance to the parish with particular regard to deciding on how the funds of the PCC are spent. She Is SnSIble for ensurlng St AndreS complies with the Parish Safeguarding Handbook and all other Safeguarding requirements. The Parish Dashboard 15 regularly updated to monrtor safeguarding requirements. including volunteer safeguarding training. Rohan Mohanty is responsible for ensuring that a Disclosure and Barring SeNice search is condurted before anyone is able to work with children and vulnerable adults in the church. Heotth andsofrty Nik Davies was Health & Safety OffKer during 2025. He worked with the Churchwardens to assess and implement heafth and safety measures. Risk assessments are reviewed bi-annuallv. The PCC actively considers and mttigates potential risks and UnrtaInte5 facing St Andrev/s. St Andrev/s annual risk assessments are completed to mtti8ate health and safety risks. Financial procedures are in place to mitigate any misappropriation of funds. Insurance is in place for fire and theft, and there are CCTV cameras instslled, as well as floodlighting. All volunteers with children* yOLrth and vulnerable adults are screened, induding DBS checks. As set out in'Promoting A Safer Church,, actNities are structured in a way that minimise the potential for abuse or allegations of abuse to arise. The PCC review5 finanoal giving as compared to expenditure and reserve levels at every PCC meeting to monitor the w)tential risk of future financial difficulties. 6.
