**Organise and take part in active fundraising projects to provide support for the following: Local Dementia group. Christmas hampers for local needy families. Organise local poster competitions, to reach out to young people. Organise/assist in Macmillan Coffee mornings. Assist/Collect During Cancer awareness week, for Cancer Research UK.**

**Under the terms of the Clubs’ Constitution, Trustees apply funds at their discretion, making grants where they believe that their contribution will make a real difference. We can only make grants in furtherance of our charitable objects. Potential Candidates for Grants are as follows:** 

**Local charities - youth groups, groups working with the elderly, residential and nursing homes, individual appeals.**

- policy programme related investment; 

**Youth and children’s organisations - sport related groups or individuals, scouting and guiding, youth club activities, young people undertaking overseas assignments. Community facilities - relief of hardship for individuals and families, village hall projects, community group initiatives.**

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

**We have still been able to raise funds, in a limited way, whilst complying with any restrictions, brought about, by the Pandemic. From these funds, we have been able to do the following: Donations to: Macmillan Nurses Cancer Research UK. Francis House Children’s Hospice. Various Global Appeals, via the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF).** 

**Purchase and pack food hampers for local needy families. Reach out to youth, through our local schools, with our local and national Peace Poster Competitions**

**We do have some reserve funds to enable quick response, to an Brief statement of the emergency but, our policy is that funds, raised from the public charity’s policy on reserves should be being used to help people, less fortunate than ourselves and not languishing for long periods in a bank account. Our limited reserves include ringfenced amounts for up-front expenses of any regular projects.**
