**Objects:** TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING AND FACILITATE THE CARE OF PATIENTS AND FAMILIES OF THE PAEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (PICU) AT THE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL SOUTHAMPTON, EITHER DIRECTLY FOR PATIENTS AND FAMILIES OR INDIRECTLY THROUGH SUPPORTING THE WORK OF THE PICU AND ITS ATTENDANT SERVICES, BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN PROVIDING, EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES AND SERVICES NOT ROUTINELY OR IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE IN THE REGULAR PROVISION.
