Looking fO￿ard 2025 was a positive year for ACS. Our data shows we were able to incr6asa the number of dients wè supportad. whilst kee￿rn9 our waiting times and waiting list manageable. We are 8180 looking into what additional supp)rt we Could pro￿de to the Ic¢al community and are already in discussions with oth8r agencies who use the Jublle6 Comrnunty C8ntre to see how that nay work. In March 2026, we held a Vision Workshop. bringing together key stskeholders4ncluding trustees, couns611ors. and administrators-to reffect on the vision, purpose, and effectiveness of our service. This provided an opporiunily to consider how ACS continues to meét the needs of thè Communty, thile èxploring future priorities and opportunities for development. We look forward to discussing and implemènting the outccrnès in the coming year. Flnanclal Review Tha attached financlal rewrt shows ACS'S receipts and paymenls for the year ending 31 December 2025. ACS made a loss of £3.032 in 2025. resulting in totsl funds carried forward of £24,818. (Unrestricted £22.732, Restricted £465 and Designated £1.621.) The trusts8s believe the charlty has enough resources to keep operating for the foreseeable future and have prgpared the accounts ¢)n a goingwconcem basis.

The Resth'ct6d Fund represents moni8s given by Ihe Alb8rt Hunt Trust in December 2021, for the sol& purpose of covering the costs of counselling sessiMs for clients referred by a local charity, Twning Tides, f¢xused on ending homelessness. During 2025, ACS supported 4 diènts frorn Turning rides and hope to continue this work into 2026. ACS'S rnaii source of Income is client fees" however, this only covers around 70 /0 of our overall costs. In 2025, we were generously supported by the folbwing Trusts and (Trganisations, without whom we would not been able to meet the demands of the servi￿. The Beer.Harrls Trust Mid Sussex District Council The SMB Charitable Trust The lanAskew Trust East Glln51ead Town Council East Grinslead Common Gi)od TrusL We express our deepest thanks to these organlsations. ACS'S rnain expenditure includes counsdlor fees, rent of counselling rcotns and apart- time counselling manager. In January 2025 the trustees agreed and implemented a 10 % incfease in counsellors fees, in recognition of the valuable work undert8ken by our counsellors, who receiv8 a comparatively modest remuneration for their services. The chalknge for the Trusteés golng ft)Tward into 2026 will b8 to secure funding associated wtth the increasing costs of administration and man8g6m6nt of the service, along with the costs associated with the supeNision and placement of student counsellors. A review of client fees is planned for 2026, as the tru51ees re¢JJgnise the need to increaso income in rèsponse to a growing proportion of clients paying a lower rate. No Trust*s received payment in 2025 for their service as a Trustee. John Blechynden (appointed as trustee in 2021 and resigned in 20251 and Rebecca Wood (appointed as a trustee in 2025} have onty been r8imbJrsed expenses for their servic8s as counsèllors. The CIO aims to keep in res8rve thre8 rnonths ofoperating expenses to protectthe charity against drops in income or allow it to tske advantage of new opportunities. This can also be used for the costs of dissolution should th8 charity be unable to continue.
