Organisational set up of TLT

TLT has seven trustees and 2 missionaries, Sozos and Des Sozou (TLT team). TLT through Sozos and Des seek to develop strong relationships with local community leaders, doctors and religious leaders in the areas where TLT would like to introduce Educational and Health care programs.

Learning Centres and medical camps and liaising with the local contacts and teams in India, so that when the TLT team arrive everything is in place. When the TLT team return to Europe the local teams which Sozo and Des have helped set up continue the work of the learning centres and medical camps. Sozo and Des encourage volunteers from Europe to travel with them when they visit India

The local TLT teams that have been set up to run the learning centres and medical camps report to Sozo and Des, there is excellent communication between them. The local teams report monthly to TLT and at other times as needs arise. They are very dedicated and have proven to have a heart for all they do in improving the lives of those in the local communities of which they are part.

Due to the generous giving of TLT supporters Sozo and Des were able to travel to India to visit and initiate food and medical programs and offer support to the local TLT workers. Due to the excellent communication system that TLT has built up with local community leaders over the past years Sozo and Des are warmly greeted in India and are able to see first-hand the wonderful work which TLT are doing in India through its various Indian partners

1. TLT checked on the recently built water well 520 feet deep to supply a local region in Northern India which TLT funded. Money has been raised for a new well to be built (through fund raising by two of TLT recently joined trustees (more on this in the next report)

2. The new Learning Centre to accommodate 20 village children for basic education (this is our 3[rd] learning centre built) is thriving.

3. Supported various children’s program to educate children to livewith a more healthy lifestyle.

4. Supported 4 one day woman’s programs how to have a healthy lifestyle.

5. Have taken the responsibility and medical costs for a 13 year old boy with Osteogenesis (we are waiting to see if surgery can be done to give this boy a chance and a better future.

Update

The doctors and surgeon decided it was too risky to give Daramaselum surgery. So TLT bought him an electric wheelchair which makes him mobile. He is delighted as is his family and village.

6. All the conferences on a healthy life style were given food and basic travelling costs.

7. We have 3 MOU (memorandum of understanding – a non binding contract) with 3 hospitals in India who support TLT with our medical camps

8. TLT supports individuals with health problems, through medical camps and dispensaries working with doctors and nurses from local hospitals. TLT supplys their medication and examinations and doctors consultation fees.

9. The density camps in various villages area are all helping people

10. After the terrible earthquake in NEPAL (2024) TLT through their Indian partners was asked to set up a food centre and medical help in Nepal. TLT 2 missionaries flew to Nepal from India where they were able to give much need and valuable assistance to villages in NEPAL which had been affected by the earthquake

All the above was done in one year without having a full time missionary on the field and minimal funding.
