|Summary of the purposes of the
charity as set out in its governing
document|The objects of the Club are such purposes as are
exclusively charitable in England & Wales; including
encouraging service-minded people to serve their
community without personal reward; supporting
youth to develop their skills, capacities and
capabilities; promoting the Voluntary Sector for the
public benefit; the relief of poverty and the relief of
those in need; promoting for the benefit of the public
the conservation, protection and improvement of the
physical and natural environment.|

public benefit, in particular, the
activities, projects or services
identified in the accounts.|The Club maintains a Local Nature Reserve with the
active assistance of several volunteers; a weekly
youth club, for 12-18 year-olds; and runs a
Community venue which includes regular Coffee &
Chat mornings for Senior Citizens. Welfare grants
are provided, in confidence, for those in need.
Members continue to deliver Prescriptions and,
where necessary, food for those unable to leave
home. A small local business grant was also
obtained to help provide food for Families who were
known to be in financial distress. The Club
organised, and funded, a free Fun Day for Children
and a free Community Tea Party, with
Entertainment, as part of the Queen’s Jubilee Events|

Commission on public benefit|The Club’ s aim is to always provide benefit for the
Community. Entry costs at fundraising events are
kept low in order to enable and encourage
participation; other activities are run on a non-profit
basis. This year, following the lifting of Covid
restrictions, members were able to reintroduce most
of our regular activities; the Club continued to help
the Community wherever possible.|

Public; it also runs a Community venue. The Club
provides funding for Community Welfare needs.|

members, all of whom, together with family
members, help at various activities. Several other
volunteers help to maintain the Local Nature

## **Additional information**
|Achievements against objectives set|The Club plans a range of activities, including free,
non-profit and low cost events. However, this year’s
Pantomime, was deemed too much of a community
risk due to Covid-19.
Members remained flexible and continued to help
the Community on a purely voluntary basis.|
