|Summary of the purposes of the<br>charity as set out in its governing<br>document|The objects of the Club are such purposes as are<br>exclusively charitable in England & Wales; including<br>encouraging service-minded people to serve their<br>community without personal reward; supporting<br>youth to develop their skills, capacities and<br>capabilities; promoting the Voluntary Sector for the<br>public benefit; the relief of poverty and the relief of<br>those in need; promoting for the benefit of the public<br>the conservation, protection and improvement of the<br>physical and natural environment.|
|Summary of the main activities in<br>relation to those purposes for the<br>public benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or services<br>identified in the accounts.|The Club maintains a Local Nature Reserve with the<br>active assistance of several  volunteers; a weekly<br>youth club, for 12-18 year-olds; a regular Senior<br>Citizens Lunch; Bridge days; Dances  and runs a<br>Community venue which includes regular Coffee &<br>Chat mornings. Welfare grants are provided, in<br>confidence, for those in need.<br>During the Covid-19 Lockdown, members delivered<br>Prescriptions and, where necessary, food for those<br>unable to leave home. Small Local Government<br>grants were also obtained to help provide food  for<br>Families who were known to be in financial distress.|
|Statement confirming whether the<br>trustees have had regard to the<br>guidance issued by the Charity<br>Commission on public benefit|The Club’ s aim is to always provide benefit for the<br>Community. Entry costs at fundraising events are<br>kept low in order to enable and encourage<br>participation; other activities are run on a non-profit<br>basis. Although unable to conduct most regular<br>activities, the Club continued to help the Community<br>wherever possible.|

However, only<br>escorting Santa’s Sleigh throughout December was<br>possible due to Covid-19.<br>Members remained flexible and continued to help<br>the Community on a purely voluntary basis.|
