Chairs Report
As we have moved the AGM to June to be in line with the reporting for the Charity Commission, I initially thought the Chair’s report will be brief. Afterall it is only six months since the last report. The pandemic continues to impact on everyone, in our personal and professional lives. Following on from the learning from our first virtual meeting in November ADNE virtual events are now being held via ZOOM. Currently we can use ZOOM via a university license. In the future it may be beneficial consider purchasing a license for ADNE. The virtual meeting opens up access to many more people and does enable members and other community nurses to attend from all four countries of the UK. In addition, since the November meeting we have held two ADNExtra events. These were focused on the apprenticeship journey and the challenges of online assessment; these are available for people to view online, as are the presentations from this summers event.
The ADNE continues to promote community and district nursing care in the United Kingdom providing resources and opportunities for nurses and others designed to further the education and skills in the care of people in the community and improve clinical practice. In addition supporting research into community and district nursing practice. I am proud to be able to say that ADNE continues to work with other stakeholders to influence strategy, the contribution of members in this is imperative to ensure that the correct messages are shared.

ASSOCIATION OF DISTRICT NURSE & COMMUNITY NURSE EDUCATORS Trustees’ Annual Report For the year ended 30[th] April 2021
Treasurer’s report
The accounts presented here are from May 2020-April 2021, As you can see this year we have a £1767, surplus, last year we had a £27 deficit. All our income is from subscriptions, this year our subscriptions have increased by £435. The PayPal and nationwide accounts are now closed .We now use Stripe, which enables people to pay by debit card and GoCardless which enable people to pay by direct debit. There is a payment deducted by both these companies for this service which is taken before the money hits the bank account, this deduction totals £16.90 for this financial year.
The payment for the Web domain is a one-off payment for 5 years. The £380 for Simmetrics is for a membership management software package which enables us to communicate with and manage the membership, this is important as our membership is expanding and the administration for this is done on a voluntary basis by trustees. This package also enables us to manage events efficiently whilst ensuring we are GDPR compliant. We have a closing balance of £12181.98 which is a healthy position to be in .
