Objectives and Activities

Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	Para 1.17	1) To advance the education of the pupils of Sheen Mount Primary School by providing or assisting in the provision of educational, recreational and sporting services equipment or facilities in augmentation of such services, equipment and facilities financed by the Local Education Authority, which support the school and advance the education of the pupils. 2) To further such other charitable purposes as are charitable within the law of England and Wales as the trustees may determine.
Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts.	Para 1.17 and 1.19	£13,000 contribution towards the upgrade of the school’s WIFI system. £2,779 to purchase school branded team sports kits for competitive matches. £23,006 to provide an upgraded gate entry and car park entry system.

Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.	Para 1.20	The charity has raised £34,250 in donations during the school year. The improvement of the wifi means that all areas of the school benefits from reliable wifi service which is vitally important as the school increasingly relies on educational resources that are now available only online. This is for both planning of lessons and delivery in the classroom. The Sheen Mount branded kits enable all children representing the school in sports events to have appropriate kit. This investment reflects the importance that the school places on physical activity and sport. The entry gate/ car park system improves the security of the school site for all users and supports more efficient and safer administration of the after school provision benefitting children, parents and staff.

Financial Review
Review of the charity’s financial position at the end of the period	Para 1.21	At the end of the year the closing balance of the bank account was £20,072. £34,250 was raised in donations during the school year. £38,785 was spent on donations to fund projects. After the funding of the projects, general expenses and banking/accounting fees totalling £868, the net cash movement was -£5453
Statement explaining the policy for holding reserves stating why they are held	Para 1.22	Reserves are held in order that funding is available when required. The requirements of the school and potential projects and expenditure will be considered at each Trustee meeting.
Amount of reserves held	Para 1.22	The trustees agreed to change the minimum level of reserves held to £1,000. This was agreed as the charity has minimal expenses/ commitments and will ensure that funds can be utilised more proactively rather than being held as cash reserves.
