Building on previous years and followingthe values set out in our new mission statement, the trustee$ have
driven many successful improvements overthe last year. As a r8$ultthe Village Hall continues to
strengthon and flourlsh.
Bookings continue to tr8nd inllne wwth previous years and the online booklng system is now weLi-
established with 1250 website hits this financial year.
A full Health & S8fety and Risk assessment review was conducted for existing policie8 8nd procedures. Any
gaps identified where policies or procedures were remediated.
This last ye8Y the committee have 8ought to improv8 the carparf( which was achieved by applying lined
parking spaces and the removal of hedging which created the addition of two extra sp8ces.
The commlttee continues to listen to the feedback of the hirers and as such we Improved the external
lighting around the property with hard wired PIR lighting. This improves the hirers experi8nW the halls
security but more importantly in the event of an evacuation in the dark the lighting will automatlC8lly
illuminate.
Inline with our policywe provided trae bookings to three organised cheritable ev8nts.
Making full use of the h811s equipment the committee h8s introduced a monthly cinema night with lic8ns8d
screenings of recent films. The community has embraced these evenings with an average of 40 people in
attendance. A small entrance fee of £3pp is collectad to cover the cost of tho licence with no goal to prolit
from the evening other than to drive a collective communty spir¢t.
InPost lockers were installed to the side of tho property providing 8 Vltal postal service to the local
community and providesthe Village Hall with a regular income of £1200 por annum.
External improvements have been made with the purchase of a picnic bench, also an external electrical
power source has been fitted allowing Vendors to connect.
The Treasurer successfully applied for a grant of £7500 towards Solar Panel and battary installation with
work commencing in 2025 to drive a green and sustainable future.
Our committee strives to reduce the halls carbon footprint having installed a remotely operated Nest
heating systeFn which has seen the G88 consumption reduce significantly.
A regular problem of taps being left on was addressed by replacing all taps within the propeity with self-
stopping taps theretore reducing the water wastage and reducing the risk of flooding.
We installed a grid system of Smoke alarms and carbon monoxide monitors all connected by Bluatooth.
Two quiz nightswere organised and held bythe committ88which saw £800 raised with 50% each to The
Hospice ofth8 Good Shepherd and Nightingale house. The second quiz raised £582forviI￿ge hall
improvements.

Mike Neilson, Peter Lewis. Mel Allport 8n(J Dorothy Hill all decided that it was th8 right time for them to
resign trom the committee having put decades of seNic8 into the stewardship of the village hall. All left
knowing the foundations they left were strong for the next generation of Trustees to build upon. Incoming
truste8s include Sarah Gibbons and Nlcoia Smith.
FinanciaL
The Financial Statement is attached showing a healthy profit of £2084.04 and a deposit account totalling
£30500.
The Finance sub-committee contlnu8s to make and implementfaster decisions maintaining rentals at
afford8ble levels.
In summary.
The CIO continues to fulfill its obligations. within the governmental document. bythe provislon of the H811 for
the use of the residents of Hkgh8r Kinnerton and surrounding districts.
All Trustees are awaro of the activities taking place at th8 H811. in relation to the benefits provided to the public
and aro guided by advice on this provided bythe Charity Commission.
