Burntwood Lions Club CIO Charity number 1183199 Trustees report for July 1 st 2023 to 31 st June 2024 Although Covid is now well behind us the after effects are still having a worrying effect on our community. This shows particularly in the number of people with mental health issues and the increase in cases of domestic violence.This means we are having to help an increasing number of people being rehoused by the local authority and they then need domestic appliances in their new accommodation ,which we supply working with social services. Our biggest event of the year is still our Santa Special and last year we took two hundred and sixty disabled and disadvantaged children with their siblings, to Statfold Barn Railway for a wonderful day out. They had a gift from Santa and enjoyed many fun activities. Overall it was another successful and enjoyable year for Burntwood Lions.
