The objects of the CIO are to advance public education in, and appreciation of, the visual arts, in particular but not exclusively by facilitating access to, and understanding of, the work of the artist Hans Feibusch.

We have suspended fundraising while we continue to explore with the Church of England, the current owner of the Pilgrim’s Progress mural, the extent to which they are able to share the costs of its restoration and display. Hand-in-hand with these negotiations are ongoing discussions with the local authority, which has been helpful in proposing a possible display space in the local area.
We are planning a high quality educational exhibition in the display space that is being considered as a permanent location for the Pilgrim’s Progress mural.
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
We have also maintained relationships with advisers and potential stakeholders in the fine art field.
We have updated our website, which contains informational and educational material about the mural, Hans Feibusch, and our activities. We have begun to discuss the charity’s long-term activities and objectives once the future of the mural has been settled.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
We have been exploring the possibility of work being funded by grants secured by the Church of England. We have received an offer of help to prepare a Heritage Lottery Fund application.
We have maintained relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including individuals, community organisations, cultural organisations and potential funders.
