Nine ofthese meetings have held using Zoom. with three meeting being held in person. Loc81 organisations have attended and presgnted infofmotion reg8rdingthe1rv￿rk and key issues, as well 8s providing networking support for ea¢h oth8r. The CIPF have 8 membership of over 200. Chysavffjl. pot Noodle Ministries. and Hidden Help CRISIS FUND AND HOUSEHOLO SUPPORT FUND The CIPF have helped 8 number ot ind(viduais access support from the Cornwau Communty Foundation's Crisis Funds. Whlch include8 the St Martin in the Fields Fund. COMMUNITY WEALTH FUND Gavin Ba￿er one of the CIPF Trustees has been working on 8 Communty Wealth Fund. an approa¢h that would enabl8 money generated in Cornwall to rem8in in Cornw811 to benefit local communiti88. Gavin has produced a page Report th8t wi now be circu181ed to key partners. REAL LIVING WAGE FOR CORNWALL Simon from Truro Foodb8nk is also looking at the c8USeS of poverty and the reasons why p80ple are visiting Foodbanks and to introduce the ide8 of the Real Livlng Wage for Cornwall. One significant reason is that many people in work are being paid the National Lwlng Wage 8nd this 1$ Inadequ8te to cover housing 8nd food Costs. Cornwgll is now recognised as a Real Lrvin8Wage Pla¢e-the first County to achleve this accraditation CIPF is one of the core membeis of the working group. This now means there are 8ddition81 f8sources to Compaign for more comp8nies and organisations to gign up to become Real Lwing Wage Employers. However the recent increase in employer's National Insurance contributions is seen 88 a potential barrier to More sign-UPS. CORNWALL COMMUNITY FOUNDATION The CIPF continue to supportthe Comw8U Communty Foundation in its y¥rfyrk an¢Y in particular by providing informotion in the Dlocese's Christmas Catalogue ond also by being pan Of their grant Poneis. CHALLENGE POVERTY WEEK 2025- RURAL POVERTY The CIPF chose to focus this year on the issues around Ruial Poverty.. The m8in aim v￿S to m8ke M P'S and local Councillors awaie ff the v8r40us projects and organisations th8t are currently helping and supporting thosg people who are sufferingfrorn the impact ot poverty. They were encouraged to visrt their community organisations and gain insights into the reasons wlw so mary people within our communf(ies are in poverty. Accounts ofthese visits were included in the report We collected a selection of 8rticl&% on Rural P￿rtYWrrtten by practitioners across Cornwaii and including accounts of lived experience and these were included in the CPW 2025 Report. In partnership with Transfonnation Cormyau and Cornwall Rur81 Community Charitywe held 8 conference on the theme of Rur81 Poverty. There were presentauons on Cornwall Council's Public Health Annual Reportwhich focused on Families and Children and also on th8'Pretty Poverty. Report which was commissioned bythe Diocese ofTruio which challenged the modol of measuring Indices of Multiple Deprivation as being unfrtfor purpose in relation to Rural Povarty. Summaries of the presentstions and the workshops at the confefence were included in the final CPW 2025 Report which can be found on the CIPF websit8. Challenge Poverty Week nationally 1$ org8nised by Church A¢tion on Povarty and our Invol￿ment also enables for Cornwailto be invol￿d in the n8tionaldeb8te.
