**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD HEALTH AMONG PEOPLE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM LIVING WITH THE MEDICAL CONDITION AXIAL SPONDYLOARTHRITIS WHICH INCLUDES ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS (TOGETHER KNOWN AS THE ‘CONDITION’) IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: A) PROVIDING INFORMATION TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC ABOUT THE CONDITION AND PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ADVICE TO PEOPLE LIVING WITH THE CONDITION, THEIR FAMILIES, CARERS, SERVICE –PROVIDERS AND EMPLOYERS; B) ADVOCATING TO ENSURE THAT EVERY PERSON HAS TIMELY AND EFFECTIVE DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT AND CARE OF THE CONDITION; C) FUNDING AND DISSEMINATING RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS TO ADVANCE SCIENTIFIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONDITION AND ITS EFFECTIVE TREATMENT.

**Activities:** Providing information to the general public about the Condition and providing support and advice to people living with the Condition, their families, carers, service providers and employers. Advocating to ensure that every person has timely and effective diagnosis, treatment and care of the Condition. Funding and disseminating research into the management and cure of axial SpA and its causes.
