Charity number 1183172 Friends of British Southern Cameroons ## **Friends of British Southern Cameroons Annual Report 2022-2023** Friend of British Southern Cameroons is a charity set up primarily to assist the victims of the Southern Cameroons genocide who have been internally displaced or seeking refuge in other countries such as Nigeria. We carry out general charitable purposes, seek to prevent and relieve poverty among this vulnerable group and advocate for their Human Rights. We are very thankful to our pillars of support; Sacred Heart Church, Leicester, St Joseph’s Church, Leicester and St Thomas Aquinas Trust for their continued immense kindness, prayers, fundraising and donations to the victims of the ongoing genocidal war in Southern Cameroons/Ambazonia. This involved an outreach for education and sensitisation in local schools and churches. Social media was used to raise the profile of the humanitarian crisis and facilitated our fundraising events like our 1[st] October Sponsored Walk and Christmas Food Fundraising appeal. We extend our thanks for all family and friends who supported and sponsored these exciting events. Our charity continues to carry out numerous outreaches to the refugees in Nigeria and the Internally Displaced People and children in Community schools in Southern Cameroons. These included supplying educational resources for children in all refugee camps and sustainability projects to empower the women, disabled and youths.
