|||The Church opened a 'Warm Welcome Space' for two days a week to|||
|||support people with cost of living through<br>the winter months. This|was||
|||well supported<br>by volunteers<br>from the Church, though<br>few people|||
|||from Mayrield took advantage<br>ofthe facility and it is not planned<br>to||be|
|||repeated.|||
|||Coffee mornings<br>continued<br>to be run for Ukrainian<br>refugees,<br>until <br>were no longer needed towards the end of2022. The Church|they||
|||provided<br>two electronic tablets for the village Primary School to help|||
|||support the learning<br>ofthe Ukrainian<br>children there.|||
|||The work with young people<br>in the village has been uninterrupted<br>this|||
|||year, and has seen strong attendance<br>ofaround 40 children each week|||
|||across the two mid-week<br>club nights that are offered.<br>Another successful|||
|||weekend<br>camp was run, taking 30young people away to a Christian|||
|||outward-bound<br>centre.|||
|||The Church organised<br>a small number ofsocial activities connecting|with||
|||the community,<br>including<br>an afternoon<br>tea party for neighbours,<br>a|||
|||barbecue for the Ukrainian<br>community,<br>and a sold-out quiz night.|||
|||In 2021 the Church<br>had promised<br>funding<br>ofchild counselling<br>at the|||
|||Primary<br>School over the three years emerging<br>from Covid 19,and the|||
|||final payment<br>was made during the year.|||
|||During the year ending<br>March 2023, after a review ofreserves and|||
|||careful consideration<br>ofa number ofprojects, the Church was able to|||
|||make funding<br>commitments<br>toa number of ChristLan<br>organisations<br>and|||
|||initiatives,<br>including<br>WyciNe Bible Translators,<br>People International,|||
|||London<br>City Mission, Ichthus Christian<br>Fellowship<br>and Youth With a|||
|||Mission. Some ofthese grants are two orthree year commitments,<br>and|||
|||the future obligations<br>have been taken into consideration<br>when assessing|||
|||free reserves ofthe Church.|||
