Structure:
The management committee is made up of 7 people:
The Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, one non office bearing trustee and three non-trustees: the Co-ordinator, a member of the Street Pastor Team and a member of the Prayer Support Team.
The committee meets at least 4 times a year.
Trustees must be the three main office holders.
One non-office holding Trustee was also appointed.
All trustees are re-elected every three/four years at the AGM held in January each year. (First elections due January 2022)
Charitable purpose:

To provide public pastoral care services to help people on the streets and other public places, giving guidance, support and signposting which assist in preserving public order and avoiding anti-social behaviour.

We are an ecumenical group of volunteers who wish to be out in the community, caring, listening and helping people.

We patrol the local village of Uppermill once a week on a Friday or a Saturday evening. The village has a very lively night-time economy which can result in anti-social/drunken behaviour and can leave members of the public vulnerable. We also patrol during community events such as the Whit Friday band contests and the Rush cart festival where a calming influence and a positive presence is beneficial to the public and fosters community safety.

We liaise with the security staff and publicans. We aim to help and support them and act on their assessments of the situation in the village so we can go to areas where we will be most helpful.

We liaise with the local police delivering regular reports of our patrols. This supplies the police with information about local issues/ incidents they may be unaware of, helping them to secure public order.

Street Pastors patrol in a set uniform distinguished by the street pastor logo. This sometimes elicits questions from the public about our Christian faith. When asked to, we share our faith in Jesus and his love for everyone. We provide pastoral care as the “Church in action” in public places. We support the spiritual, social, emotional, physical and mental well-being of all individuals who are in need of care – this is of public benefit.

We began with a fully operational bank account (at last) with a balance of 4930. Most of this money had come from local churches and individuals had made donations.
We need to pay £800 annually to Ascension Trust for insurance. The recruitment and training of new Street Pastors costs approximately £150pp and we do provide all volunteers with the required uniform. The decision was made to fund these outgoings for all SPs although if individuals wished to contribute, they would have the opportunity to do so.
Our bank balance at the end of the year was £3,300.00 The decision was made to use the company 31Eight to provide our DBS checks. The annual fee is £120 and then each individual check costs £34.
