The organisalion has continued to resF)ond to increasing demand driven by the ongoing cosl ol living crisis, whilst strengthening ils s9rvices, partnerships, and internal systems. Celebratlng 120 years Thg Bolton Guild ol Help celebrated ils 120th year of operation. Several events were held lo commemorate this mil&ston8 including a networking event and ending in a celabration hosted by The Mayor wllhln the banqueting suite at The Bolton Town Hall. To recognise the importance of our work with Veierans, we also look part in Bolton Remembrance Day commemoration with the laying of a wlealh. Durlng the year, the Guild launched a new website which enables us lo reach a wider audi&nce and attract new clients as well as raising our profile with other organisalions and professionals. The Guild has maintained an ongoing presence on Facebook, Bolton FM and regularly has arti¢les published in The Bolton News. Operatlonal ¢hanges Wlth the support ol a 3-year National Lottery Community Fund Grant, the Gulld has been able to extend Ils working week to include Fridays. Wo are now accesslble Monday lo Friday 8.30am - 3pm. We operate from our newly refurbished off Ice al Silverwell Strèet on Monday lo Wednesday and then take our work out in the community each Thursday and Friday. Work In the ¢ommunlty We now offer weekiy drop-ln sesslons at various locallons across Bolton ev9ry Thursday and Frlday. These sessions take place In accessible community sgttings such as libraries, communrty centres, churches, mental health services, and job support v8nues like Restart. By bringing our services into these tamlliar spacas, we are able to reach individuals who may otherwise lace barriers to accessing support. Meetlng people within their own communities helps to increase visibility, build trust, and engage more elleellvaly with underrepresented and vulnerable groups. It also r8duces practical barriers such as travel costs and accessibillly, maklng It easier lor Indlviduals lo seek help al an earlier stage.

Through the partnership with Bolton Lions, we helped 7 lamiliee with Ihe provision ol Ghrislma8 presents, impacting 17 chikjren. We also partnered wlth Urban Oulreach to deliver several 'Christmas Dinner on Jgsus Hampers, to our mosl vulnerable families.

REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025 ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Icontlnuodl Veterans Support This year, with the support ol a grant from the Veterans Foundation, tho Guild has been able lo fund the recruilmenl of a Veterans Champion who l?ads our Veterans support work. Our Ve18ran's drop-in at The Bridge Coll8e Shop on Thursday's attracts between 15 and 20 attendees each week and, to rèspond to demand, a further two more Veteran and Community drop-ins have b98n launchgd at the Bridge Church Rock Street, Horwich, and al The Well, Farnworth Baptist Church. These have b8en well rec8ived and a much-needed additional r8source in the areas. In addition to Ihis, the Guild organised the provision of a Veterans Ihree-course Christmas lunGh and brass ban(J concert with 98 attendees and a day trip to the National Memorial Arboretum In August with 40 people enjoying this lovely day. The Guild also attended various Military events during Armed Forces week, VE Day and VJ Day. Soclal Value The Guild has r9viewed the social valu& of the activities il provides wlthln the Bollon community and has calculated that through the benefit enllllemenl service, the granis made, the employment of stall and general expenditure in the local communlly11 has cre8ted a so¢ial valu$ of £1,038,000 in 2025. With no belonglngs, his application lo Looal Welfarg Provision was largely refused. Through our drop.bn servlce, we provided immediate praotlcal support, Including food and a washing machlne, alongside advocacy to chall8noe the decis1on. CL was supported al a crilical polnl, Ènabling him lo begin establishing slabilily and independence in hls new hom& through Goordinated, practical and advocacy-based support. Supportlng Older Peoplo- Malntaining Independence: Dori5 (aged 1001 Doris, a 100-year-old Navy widow, contacted the Gulld lor support. Following a homo visit, the Guild assisted her io apply lor Attendance Allowance. She was successfully awarded £108.75 per week, along with an additional £25.07 per week in Pension Credit. Impact: This inGreased income has slgnillcanlly improved Doris's quality of life. enabling her to maintain independence, arrange regLtlar meals, and visit her son in a care home. Her family hlghllghied the cornpassionale and person-canlred Support provldèd by tha Guild.
